Welcome to Toosday Toons, a monthly
publication of the Nassau Mid-Island Chapter of the
Barbershop Harmony Society, with an editorial legacy
of more than 40 years in chronicling the activities
of our Long Island organization. First called the
Mid-Island Missile when editions began
rolling off the press in 1968, and later Nassau
Notes and The Voice, its current name
was selected in 1997 (chapter rehearsals for our
Long Island Harmonizers chorus are traditionally
held Tuesday evenings).
We are extremely pleased
that photos and text concerning our membership,
thoughts expressed by our musical director and
president, and special features -- all designed to
inform, educate and entertain -- can be offered as
an additional source for news through our chapter
website, and delighted to be able to share
Toosday Toons with you in this way. We
sincerely hope you will enjoy its content whether
you have been a barbershopper for quite some time or
a new devotee. Should you wish to offer any
comments, simply drop an e-mail to editor and
publisher Charles Bell
. We
welcome hearing from you.
